Founding Partner of Campos Thomaz Advogados with over 15 (fifteen) years of experience in the tech industry. Alan worked for over 10 (ten) years at Mattos Filho Advogados, Brazilian BigLaw.

Alan is the only Brazilian outside counsel with a higher education (master's degree) in Brazil (FGV), Europe (Tilburg), and the United States (Stanford).

Professor and coauthor of several books and articles on law and technology.

Over the past decade, Alan advised BigTech companies (including Google, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Telegram, Netflix, and others) in navigating legal challenges of online services, such as product and intermediary liability, digital markets regulation, content moderation, social media, messaging apps, cloud, AdTech, e-commerce and marketplaces, electoral, streaming, gaming and betting, data and artificial intelligence, advocacy, and others. Experience in assisting shared-economy apps, FinTech and AI companies. Between 2022-2024, Alan was the leading partner assisting Telegram in all legal matters in Brazil.
