Anatel announced that over 30 illegal streaming platforms have stopped operating in Brazil following a court decision in Argentina, which took down servers hosted there. The ruling is part of an Argentine operation targeting an underground network that distributed audiovisual content without authorization, supported by organizations such as the Alliance Against Audiovisual Piracy.
Although Anatel was not directly involved in the case, the agency noted that the shutdown affected popular apps like My Family Cinema. It also warned that using illegal platforms and “gatonet” devices exposes users to data theft and cyberattacks, urging consumers to stick to legitimate and trustworthy streaming services.
