On 18 November 2025, Nvidia, Microsoft and Anthropic unveiled a strategic partnership involving up to US$ 45 billion in combined investments aimed at expanding computing infrastructure and advancing next-generation AI models. Under the agreement, Anthropic intends to purchase at least US$ 30 billion in computing capacity from Microsoft Azure to train and scale the Claude model. In parallel, Nvidia will invest up to US$ 10 billion in Anthropic, while Microsoft will contribute an additional US$ 5 billion. Anthropic also agreed to acquire 1 gigawatt of computing power from Nvidia’s Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin systems.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella emphasized that the companies will increasingly act as one another’s clients within a shared ecosystem of enterprise AI solutions. Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, stated that the collaboration will accelerate global adoption of Claude, improving scale, efficiency and cost per token. In exchange for the contracted investments and capacity, Microsoft will provide access to advanced Claude models for Copilot users and Azure AI Foundry customers. Anthropic noted that Microsoft’s enterprise-oriented approach aligns closely with Claude’s broad use in corporate applications.
