According to the São Paulo Public Defender’s Office, the situation is unprecedented and has already caused serious consequences for affected youths, including job losses, school dropout, public embarrassment, and social stigma.
The source of the leak has not yet been identified. The São Paulo State Court stated that internal audits found no system failures and suggested that the information may have been obtained through external means, while the National Council of Justice has requested further clarifications.
