On October 22, 2025, the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br), through the Regional Center for Studies on the Development of the Information Society (Cetic.br/NIC.br), released the 2025 edition of the TIC Kids Online Brazil survey. The study examines how children and adolescents aged 9 to 17 use the internet, focusing on online behavior, safety, and content consumption. Findings show that this audience engages more with content created by digital influencers than with films or series, including videos containing advertising and gambling promotions.
For the first time, the research also explored the use of generative artificial intelligence by children and adolescents. While most use these tools for study and information searches, one in ten children reported using AI to talk about personal emotions or problems.
