The Brazilian Data Protection Authority published its Priority Topics Map for enforcement guidance for the 2026–2027 biennium, along with an update to its 2025–2026 Regulatory Agenda. The documents set out coordinated guidelines for rulemaking, monitoring, guidance, and potential enforcement activities, focusing on obligations under the General Data Protection Law and the Digital Statute of Children and Adolescents, with the aim of increasing transparency and regulatory predictability.

The Priority Topics Map for enforcement guidance identifies four key areas to steer the ANPD’s activities during the period: data subjects’ rights, protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment, personal data processing by public authorities, and artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. The updated Regulatory Agenda introduces specific initiatives related to the implementation of the Digital ECA, including age assurance mechanisms, the definition of scope and obligations for technology providers, and revisions to enforcement and sanctioning regulations, as well as adjustments to the ANPD’s rulemaking processes following its transition into a regulatory agency.
