On October 17, 2025, the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD) announced the opening of a public consultation aimed at reviewing its regulatory agenda for the 2025–2026 biennium. The initiative follows the expansion of the Authority’s responsibilities under the recently enacted Digital Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA Digital), which designates an administrative body to safeguard the rights of children and adolescents in the digital environment.
Once the consultation period is concluded, the ANPD will proceed with the biennial regulatory planning cycle, building upon the framework established in the previous period, whose first year resulted in the publication of a consolidated report. Contributions may be submitted until December 12, 2025, through the official channels provided by the Agency.
