The National Council of Justice (“CNJ”) has started compulsory registration of large and medium-sized companies in the Electronic Judicial Domicile (“DJE”), whose system was developed to centralize the summons and procedural notices sent by Brazilian courts.

To ensure proper compliance with all judicial obligations, it is essential that the company is aware of the DJE and the communications sent through this channel, without prejudice to the monitoring of proceedings by a lawyer.

We recommend that the team responsible regularly checks the system and updates the registration information and, consequently, upon receiving any official communication, immediately informs the lawyers to take any necessary measures.

Legal entities registered compulsorily must:

  • Access the website domicilio-eletronico.pdpj.jus.br;
  • Log in to the gov.br option with their digital certificate (e-CNPJ);
  • Update their data on the platform and check if there are any procedural notices for the company’s CNPJ.
