The Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) has made the Salary Transparency and Remuneration Criteria Report available to more than 54,000 companies with 100 or more employees, as required by the Equal Pay Law (Law No. 14,611/2023). Companies must publish the report by September 30 on their institutional channels and register it on the Emprega Brasil portal, ensuring broad public visibility and access. Publication can occur on corporate websites, social media, or equivalent means, provided it is easily accessible.
According to the MTE, inspections will be intensified: 810 companies will be audited in September, and non-compliance may result in fines of up to 3% of payroll, capped at 100 minimum wages. In the previous cycle, 90 companies were penalized for failing to comply. The report aims to promote gender equity, enable greater monitoring by society, and reinforce corporate accountability in meeting equal pay legislation.
