The European Commission has released the updated list of signatories to the Code of Practice for General Purpose AIs (GPAIs), an initiative designed to complement the EU’s Artificial Intelligence Act. While signing the Code is not mandatory, companies that voluntarily commit to it are deemed compliant with the bloc’s binding legal framework.
In addition to major AI developers that had already declared their support, the new list includes other significant players in the industry as well as several smaller providers. The initiative is regarded as a key step toward promoting consistent standards of governance and transparency in artificial intelligence, enhancing legal certainty and user trust across the EU.
