According to the Future of Professionals Report 2025 by Thomson Reuters, 93% of Brazilian professionals have tried artificial intelligence tools — a figure well above the global average of 81%. However, only 45% use them regularly, and 67% say their organizations lack a clear AI strategy. This gap between individual experimentation and institutional planning raises concerns about the effectiveness of investments and legal risks, especially in areas such as data protection, transparency, and accountability.
The report also shows that companies with well-defined AI strategies are 3.5 times more likely to achieve tangible results and twice as likely to experience revenue growth. In Brazil, however, the use of generic, low-governance tools remains prevalent. For the legal field, the message is clear: adopting AI is not enough — it must be supported by strong internal governance, continuous training, and a firm commitment to ethical and secure implementation.
