The National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS) has launched Public Consultation 151 to gather input on a regulatory sandbox proposal. This initiative aims to test a new health plan model focused exclusively on elective consultations and exams, expanding public access to primary and secondary healthcare services. By doing so, ANS seeks to provide a regulated alternative for individuals who currently rely on unregulated discount cards or popular clinics. The testing period will last two years, during which participating operators must register new products and offer incentives to consumers who join care programs.
In addition to the public consultation, which remains open until April 4, ANS will hold Public Hearing 52 on February 25 to further discuss the topic. This initiative aligns with Regulatory Resolution 621/2024 and the AGU Regulatory Sandbox Guide, ensuring a structured evaluation process for the new model. At the end of the experimental period, ANS will decide whether to continue or discontinue the format. Interested parties can visit the ANS website to contribute and review related documents.
